Code of Conduct

All users are asked to observe the following Code of Conduct when posting messages to the Bulletin Board. Please remember that moderators have busy lives and that they give their time freely to make the Doughboys.net message board a better place for all. Moderation is like abuse; best self inflicted. We much prefer that you moderate your own output but will not hesitate to moderate it for you if required.

Please note that this list is NOT exhaustive or exclusive. It it simply a list of behaviours that has been determined to be correct or incorrect in the past. It is not the moderators choice to produce this list, but some posters (and ex-posters) need to know where the boundaries of good behaviours and associated rules are.

1. Do not start duplicate threads - do a search before you post.

2. Shouting (messages in block capitals) and txt spk is not permitted.

3. Personal abuse of other Doughboys.net members is not permitted. If you disagree with what someone else says, say so and use whatever arguments you like to support your views. However personal attacks only suggest that you cannot support your views in any other way and are not allowed. If you are attacked by someone, please report this to the moderator. Do not revenge like with like.

4. The laws of libel in the UK are very harsh. You are liable for what you post. Please do not expose the board to legal risk.

5. Duplicate registrations are not allowed. You must use the same user name whenever you post a message.

6. Pornographic, racist, homophobic, threatening, harassing or obscene messages and/or images are not permitted and will be deleted. Bigotry has no place on thedoughboys.net messageboard.

7. Do not post material that infringes on any intellectual property rights (e.g. copyright, trademark, patent or other proprietary rights)

8. Advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are not permitted.

9. Circumvention of the swear filter is not permitted.

10. You must have a valid, working email address in your profile at all times.

11. Content of posts that have been deleted must not be re-submitted.

12. Posting about football violence (including in an historical context) is not permitted.

13. "Trolling" (i.e. posting in order to deliberately get a reaction or by posting false rumours etc.) is not permitted.

Infringements of this Code of Conduct may result in your posting rights being suspended or withdrawn.

Summary:

1. Be Good.

2. Be Nice.

3. Get Involved.

4. Be Proud of your Club.
